Microsoft acknowledge a problem with the X box contact customer support they are replacing most boards free of charge. They either send you a feepost label or arrange a pick up just make sure you have a suitable box. I know several people who have had the board replaced.
If this is to far out of warranty for them check youtube for a couple of quick fixes......dont try the duver repair ...
