There is a really good way to take care of these kind of abuses. Find out who they work for and talk to the elected officials who oversee their departments and budgets. Nine times out of ten they will want to know what is going on. The LAST thing they want is to be the one who let some rogue cop or bureaucrat abuse the people who they want voting for them.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
