Anybody have 12" ape's installed on their America? I am installing these on my 07 America and was wondering how much longer the throttle, clutch, and front brake line you ordered? or were you able to make the stock cables work? Thanks in advance for your help. -Scott

I installed the Buck horn bars that are supposed to be completable with stock cables. Well they did fit, but tight with a 8" rise. With a 12" rise I would say you need at least 6" extended cables. I went to www.BellaCorse.com and ordered the custom braided cables with 2" extension for throttle and clutch. They also carry custom cables for the brakes. Bob

I'm going through that exact process right now and I will probably order cables at least 6, maybe 8 inches longer than stock.

You're not going to believe this, but I just put some bars off a 650 vstar on just for laughs and they work perfect. No cable changes and they are about level with my shoulders, nice and comfortable. works for me!

Not to hijack the thread, but can anyone notice a discernable difference between the 'Buckhorn' bars and the Bellacorse 'Highlander' bars?
I just got a set of Highlanders delivered to my home, but when I took them down to do a mock up on my bike, I realized they are not as considerable of rise as I thought they were vs. stock.
They seem moreso like the will rotate my wrists so that instead of having the throttle parrallel to the ground, they will be more of a 45 degree angle (sorry, hard to explain in words).
Anyone who has the Highlanders out there that can weigh in? Is this position really more comfortable. For reference, I'm a pretty tall guy (6'3"), and I wasn't particularly uncomfortable with stock. I was just looking for a more unique look and a little bit of rise.
