In the circles I hang in the Sporty is called a girls bike but it is in jest. I don't like them from a mechanical point of view. I haven't been inside one in years but I wouldn't imagine they changed much inside. They are over complicated and prone to failure. But as for the girls bike thing, I never really understood that since the big HP bikes and drag racing bikes and such are Sportster engines.( at least they used to be)
