Im not sure if this is the right thread but here we go. Im interested in taking an old western horse saddle and fitting in on my speedy. Ive seen it done and have a slight idea of how it could work but i was wondering if anyone on here had more know-how about the subject. Even some pictures of other bikes with a saddle on them would help. Any ideas?

Thanks

Out of curiousity...Are you going to fit your stock speedmaster seat onto your horse afterwards?

I've seen the kind of thing you're referring to and I have to wonder if what you're talking about is whether an actual horse saddle was used or if a motorcycle seat was just made to look like a horse saddle?

(...and I hope y'all know that that'll already be a mighty fur piece to ride all the ways from North Caroliney to Nevada on that there Triumph o' yours anyway, pardner!!!)

Ive got to find a way to get the throttle connected to the furball first...he just wont go fast enough.

Yeah. Friar, Ive seen real horse saddles converted for motorcycles but only on those big-a$$ harleys. Its just a thought i wanna toy with. Maybe ill just have to get the old brain gears cranking and do this one from scratch.

If only the festival was in the summer... (My bike and I are in Maine now. Riding season is very much done with).

And if ya don't get a chance to ride up to the CPF and meet up with Freedom John in person, he might just chime in with some serious cowpoke thoughts on the matter 'cause according to what he's told me, he rides 'em all.

Yeah, i really like those but the 500ish is hard to come up with. But im also just interested in being both obtuse about my seating and trying to make something different out of the project.
