It should be noted that a rpm limiter will definitely be incorporated and just because it allows lets say for the sake of argument 10,000rpm before it kicks in, it doesnt mean you have to rev your bike that high, it just allows you the freedom and flexibility beyond the Triumph Brick wall limiter we enjoy so much at present while still protecting your motor in the event of a missed gear or whatever

That sounds good to me. I actually welcome a limiter, AS LONG AS IT ONLY HAPPENS WELL AFTER THE POINT WHERE THE BIKE HAS STOPPED GENERATING POWER !!! My bike feels like it's just coming on when the freakin thing cuts out. I feel like the bikes 0-60 and 1/4 mile times would be pitiful because of that ****** limiter. I don't even enjoy the occasional wind-out anymore because i have to concentrate on the tach and try and shift before the limiter kicks in. It's more of a chore than fun. Triumph really blew it in this area. They should have designed an ingition that would allow the 270 to spin up much higher and set the limiter at 9k. No one may ever get to 9k w/o mods, but as you said it would be a safety factor if you hit a false neutural while wot thru the gears. I can't believe what bikes have come to since i stopped riding 2 decades ago. Now they have limiters and all this emissions carap, and we gotta pay to bring them back to where they SHOULD be in the first place ! What next? A MPH limiter? Air bags? Cage please...
