 bleeding front brake !

I changed the front brake line having a heck of a time getting it pumped back up! Any body got any tips or tricks? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try bleeding it with a Mighty-Vac pump. Instead of pumping with the bleeder open, close the bleeder and build up about 25" of vacuum and then open the bleeder. After that use Dinqua's trademarked "Tippy Tappy Tap Tap"  method. Quote:
"Tie the lever on fully with a bungie overnight. Then tap on the brake lines with a small wrench (tippy tappy tap tap) from the bottom up to the lever assembly in the AM, and let it sit another hour or so. It will be like a rock then."

Speed bleeders! (bleeder screws with a built in check valve) Brent sells 'em, and i've seen them in a local Advance Auto Parts store.

When I changed out the lines on my 06 Speedy I bled them the old fashioned way with spanner and a small bottle of fluid. I started with the one on the far side. I opened the nut while squeezing the lever down. Then shutting off the nut and releasing the lever. Then I worked on the near side. It took about 8 repetitions from memory. Worked a treat. Clean up any spills as its great paint stripper. Took about 10 minutes.

Try removing the bleeder and check for corrosion on the sealing surface. the first time I tried to bleed mine (after swapping to a speedy front end) I found some gunk on the bleeder. by the time I had it cleaned off the brakes were gravity bleeding themselves and all I had to do was put the valve back in. No trouble in 2 years since and hard as a rock star!

That's the way I do it if I get a stubborn one I run a piece of clear tubing from the bleeder nipple into a CLEAN glass jarwith more clean fluid in it. With the tubing under the level of fluid in the jar open the bleeder and pump the lever. You will see any air bubble up in the jar. The end of the tubing being under the fluid in the jar prevents sucking any air back in the system. Just in case there was any doubt, the tubing has to be a tight fit on the bleeder nipple.
On a side note,l those speed bleeders are great as long as you have enough pressure to open them. If you are getting little or no pressure on the lever the speed bleeder won't open and is thus useless and you could pump that lever forever with no effect.I have seen it and also remember a couple members here that had that problem.

Go down to ACE Hardware and buy 2 or 3 feet of clear tubing that you have to squeeze over the brake bleed valve. Just loosen the bleed valve, place one end of the tubing over valve stem, and route the other end up to a small clear container. Make sure the tubing is running up. I usually place a upside down milk crate next to the brake assembly and place the clear container on it with the tubing running into the bottom of the container (you might have to tape the tubing to the container so it does come out). Slowly pump the brakes (this will take 20 to 30 pumps) until you start seeing brake fluid moving up the tubing. Continue pumping (slowly) keeping an eye on the reservoir (so you don't get low on brake fluid) and the tubing (to watch for air bubbles). Continue until you think all the air has been purged.
I have used this cheap, yet easy method for all my cars, my TBA, and my ABS 1050 Tiger. You don't spill any brake fluid, and when you are done all the used brake fluid is in the container.
