Brent sells the brake lines. Who sells the throttle and clutch cables?

I think Tmax had that problem as well. I figure if I get one I'll just beg and plead until he reinforces mine like he did his.

Just out of interest, do people use new braided brake lines for the braiding look - obviously our brake lines have plastic coated braided lines.
Just curious is all.

Do you know HOW he reinforced it? I plan on sending my broken one to Barnett for a new cable...

Adey, YES.

I believe he soldered it. He stumbled across a plumber at a visitor center on top of some mountain in Arkanasas and borrowed his his tools if I remember correctly.

I have a Barnett clutch cable and have had zero problems. I got this before Mike started offering cables. Benny, wait until you get yours. The construction, quality, and beefiness of it pleasantly surprised me...

You think they will take my BC one and put a new inner cable on it? And will it be ok? I mean I think the housing is fine, just the inner cable was kinda thin...

Well that sucks... Anyone know any place else that might repair it? I'm sure they COULD repair it but still...

Ben,
We can only modify our own cables. Since you have another brand, we would
need to make you an all new cable.

I just finished installing the clutch and the throttle cables today. Took it out for a test spin, and they all work beautifully!! Definatly recomend them for both performance and astetics.

Let me know how you adjusted them at the handle.... I am thinking of having Barnett just make me one. 50 bucks, not the end of the world... but I want to adjust it right!

Lemme tell ya dude... I got the brake lines first, just after I did the internal bar wiring. It looks GREAT. Then when I popped for clutch and throttle. Oh man the front end looks nice with NO black anything hanging off it!

Mike, this is probly the best shot I have of the front to give you an idea of how clean it looks without wires or black cables.

Hey Benny that looks nice!! I think the biggest thing I dislike about mine now is cheap looking ugly black cables. Concealing the wires is way over my head but I bet adding the braided cables wouldnt be to hard for me to take care of.

Mike, the wiring is pretty simple really. There's instructions out there somewhere, read thru em a few times and you'll see how simple it is.

Okay, looks like I am gonna take the plunge and order the brake cables from Brent and the clutch and throttle cables from Bellecorse. Here is my qwuestion, does anyone know if the steel brading matches? Dont know alot about the braided cable game but is braided steel braided steel or are there differences in the manufacturers?

They are pretty darn close. I will say, the speedo cable I had done by Barnett and it's a slightly different shade... could be the lube coming thru, I dunno, but it's slightly darker.

One thing I will say, the throttle cables from Bellecorse come with chrome fittings, whereas Barnett actually re-uses your black fittings, so I'd go to BC for the throttle. My BC clutch cable broke. Coulda been a defect, coulda been bad installation on my part, etc, but I'm going to get a replacement from Barnett.

My Barnett clutch cable came with all new fittings. My stock cable that they used to size came back intact.

I still have it.

Phil, yeah they told me they could make up a cable, they have our stock dimensions, just tell them if it's a non-standard length.

Mike, I had Barnett re-finish my speedo cable. They needed to re-use my fittings.

I was gonna order the brake stuff from Brent and the clutch etc from Bellacorse but I noticed that Bellacorse has the brake cables as well for like $6 less. Waiting to hear back from B-Corse to see if they will ship them to my dealer since my bike is there for service I may as well have them install it all for me and make all the necessary adjustments for me.

The Cables from bella course arn't that great, My clutch cable sleeve is fine but the cable inside is a little short and you can;t get the little lock nut on at the throttle end, Also I got out the trusty micrometer because the never cable looked small then the stock and it is alot smaller then the stock cable so now I know why everyone is breaking them, I called bella course and he pretty much said I was wrong and they are fine and are great quality. so I will just go to barnett and i would suggest everyone else does also...
