Hi Jim, not wanting to hijack your thread but whilst I like the look of the wings etc and did consider them myself, I put some boards on at Xmas and whilst I have found them extra comfortable to ride with due to their size allowing multiple spots to move round on, I also accidently found them to have an added benefit.
By this I mean, if you ever considered putting highway pegs on engine protector bars, when you have boards not only can you use one or the other as a means of finding different areas of comfort, you can also find a posi in between both.
By this I mean you can rest the front portion of your feet on the hwy pegs and your heel on the boards, leaving you with one of the most comfortable posi's there is.
I know you weren't asking about this as such but it's just another avenue to consider, particularly if your are doing some long days in the saddle.
