Has anyone tried either the wings or the switchblades?
If so, whats your take on them?
Are they comfortable? Are they worth the money?

I have the switchblades going on three years, I have had no problem with them.

I had the Switchblades but after the right side CONSTANTLY rotated out of position (I tried loctite, etc)... I went back to stock.
My advice? Go with the floorboards or stay stock. Otherwise... I'll sell you some Switchblades really cheap!

+1 Never had a problem with them loosening,and I find them to be very comfortable.

I used to ride with iso wings and found them perfectly comfortable and they never had any issues.

Hi Jim, not wanting to hijack your thread but whilst I like the look of the wings etc and did consider them myself, I put some boards on at Xmas and whilst I have found them extra comfortable to ride with due to their size allowing multiple spots to move round on, I also accidently found them to have an added benefit.
By this I mean, if you ever considered putting highway pegs on engine protector bars, when you have boards not only can you use one or the other as a means of finding different areas of comfort, you can also find a posi in between both.
By this I mean you can rest the front portion of your feet on the hwy pegs and your heel on the boards, leaving you with one of the most comfortable posi's there is.
I know you weren't asking about this as such but it's just another avenue to consider, particularly if your are doing some long days in the saddle.

succinct: imho they blow. Not function wise, rather in comfort. cylindrical pegs hook up nice for boots. the switchblades elliptical profile kept my boots in a constant state of tigerwoodinfidelity as my boot would always be slipping off  Did i mention how heavy they are? Each one must weigh 9 lbs. Rambling: This is not to say that the switch blades are phooey. Why? Well I'm not a running board, 2K a year rider. Long ago I learnt where and how and why to position my appendages for minimal discomfort. And don’t much believe in purty braided cables, iso grips, etc. what is is. Aftermarket for the sake of vanity is futile. Accessories will assimilate you. Save your money for the finer things in life: Tires, chain kits, valve shims, then more tires. ( go ahead and buy em. They are fine for those who like such things.)

same for me, no problems, I really like them and will be putting them on my T-bird as well.
