I have looked around at some other sites, and there seems to be quite a few parts (Honda, Kawi, Duccati, Buell, ect) that are a direct fit for other modle Truimphs this includes Brake calipers, seats, mirrors, and so on...I tried searching this site for a sim. thread but to no avail...Just thought that if any of you had found parts that are a direct fit (or require minor modifications) this might be a good place to post them...

Ya know we talked about something lie this a while ago, like a master list of interchangable parts, like the HD Sportster rear chrome rack (which I have). I wonder if there's another post we can link to as well? Anyone remember?

Here's another one I just found out. Someone e-mailed me, said they read this post, and he just picked up a Honda VTX 1300 rear brake resevoir cover for $16 and it fits perfectly.
Here's a link...

I put the Kuriyakin signal mirrors and bullit tails on.
A Maverick wind screen and some quick release saddle bags.
I'm looking for some straight looking pipes.

yea I had my doubts just looking at photos but I figured I'd ask.I like the fact that they have a Triumph logo on the back, and the passenger portion of the seat looks like it was actually designed for a persons butt unlike the stock pillion on my america.thanks for the response.

Benny, thanks for the link. It just arrived yesterday and it fits/looks great on my America. Can't beat the price.
Much appreciated!

On a search for other seat options, I was told www.mustangseats.com are popular on Hondas (and others I suppose). Well, my inquiry received this response from mustang. I thought it was nice they at least apologized.

"Mustang management has decided not to make any seats or accessories for any
of the Triumph models, sorry.
Thanks for your interest in Mustang.

And of course you can use the Kuryakyn flush mount gas cap on ours... make sure it's the right hand thread & vented.

Early research (a paper template held against the caliper) shows that the caliper covers for the Honda Shadow VLX will fit our bike and J&P has them for $16.00 US and not the $50.00 US Triumph is asking (the calipers are made by the same MFG and may even be a direct replacement but did not confirm this)

Phil,

I didn't put the part # because they have at least 4(+)different styles of covers, and the prices range from $16.00 thru $72.00....but most could be had for under $25.00

What brand were the saddle bags grandpa? Looking to get some but don't want to pay the Triumph prices.

Hey Boss,

Any confirmation on this experiment? I'm always interested in saving a few $'s on my chromo fix. $68 a pair for the Triumph variety are well beyond reasonable.

Thanks,

Tom

I took the plunge and ordered the covers from J&P. Don't quite fit, unless you want to get real aggressive with the Dremel. They are basically the same size and shape on the front, but don't fit the sides. You'd have to really cut off quite a bit of material to make them fit around all the bumps and curves.

That is very disapointing...(they'll be going back...as soon as they get here)

Re: reaer brake reservoir -

Kuryakyn makes a cover & cap set for various Honda VTX models.
A real nice looking setup from the pics I've seen.
Also, no need to remove cover to pop cap.
Would be nice to know if one of these would play.

And yes, our own "interchange book" would be nice.

Duhh.
I'd think I'd even seen it before.

Re: Kuryakyn cap/cover set -
I got a better description from Kuryakyn web site.
They only list VTX 1800 models.
It mounts on the right.
No help.
