A little more progress today, but very significant progress...
The little dots are shrinkage marks from that boxy gun-like device in the background. He wants to do a little more of that to minimize the filler needed. That gun also spot-welds rivets onto metal for the purpose of pulling dents and will be used on a small dent to the right of the gas filler.
Then we seal it, test it for leaks and start the bodywork and paint.
