That's a nice looking fuel cap. Not sure if it would be that easy to take on and off wearing gloves, but then again, if I'm stopped for fuel, I usally take the gloves off anyway.
I ended up removing the valve thingy attached to the end of the vent line after too many incidents of the bike cuting out on me due to vacum in the tank. I thought the vent line was just a rubber tube, but (at least on an 07) when you follow it to its end, it has a valve thingy on it. I guess the danger would be if you crashed your bike and fuel was coming out the breather tube as sparks are coming off the pavement you could catch fire. I guess I'll continue to live dangerously.
