I have the vented fuel cap from Brent and am pretty happy with it. Mind you, I would still prefer to have a nice looking cap that I could lock that wasn't vented (this one wasn't around when I bought mine). Also one I could rely on where the overflow valve doesn't seize on me again as it did on a ride out in the country where I usually break down

Luckilly for me I worked out the problem and took the tube off the overflow after reading similar symptoms on here. Saved my butt which is why I appreciate this site and the blokes on it.

In saying this, I'm assuming this cap isn't vented given it replaces the stock cap right? Probably an unnecessary question but you know what they say, Assumption is the Mother of all fuc#ups.

Btw, has anyone come up with a solution how to ensure the overflow valve doesn't seize up. I'm thinking a few drops of oil or something like that but preferably something that would last a while
