I fully understand your reasoning about the mid-pegs, Michael. In fact, it's been probably five years ago since I also came to the same conclusion that sitting on your tailbone with this whole feet forward thing isn't exactly conducive to a lot of people's lower back health...a complaint we occasionally read around here from some BA/SM owners who often eventually feel they must sell their BA/SM and purchase a different bike with a "standard" riding position, because of this very issue.

And so, at that time of about five years ago, I also designed and fabricated a set of mid-pegs/brackets for my BA which bolt into those holes on the bottom of the frame rail that the never-to-be-offered-by-Triumph center stands for our bikes were supposed to be bolted into.

However, my mid-pegs do not have any controls attached to them, though since the day I bolted those onto my bike, I've been kickin' around ideas about how to move the controls to those pegs, similar to what you've done, or maybe add supplemental controls to them.

(btw...I've now seen the closeup pics of your setup which you posted in the exhaust forum, and this might give me some idea as to how I might eventually move and/or add the controls to my mid-peg setup...thanks for directin' me to those pics...I appreciate it!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
