What movie did Carrie-Ann Moss ride a Triumph in? She rode Ducatis in the Matrix.

She rode a Speed Triple in the first one, see I wasn't just watching the black cat suit sway from side to side.

From our own site even....

Groovy. I didn't recall a clear shot of the bike in the movie.

Bullseye!

That chick is scary looking. The left and right side of her face don't match. Obviously a hybrid of some sort.

I'd blame the lighting (from RHS) for the wierd look.

Adey's right, it is a lighting issue.

Would it have bothered you more if she pointed at her chest and said, "Do these look even to you?"

Well I wouldn't classify him as a star, but he does ride a Triumph America. His name is Oteil Burbridge. Yeah, I know what you're thinking...who dat? He's a bass player that has been with the Allman Brothers Band on the 2003 "Hittin the Note" album. He's also recorded with Phish keyboardist Page McConnell, and recorded and toured with Gov't Mule.

So how did I find this out? Well I was just searching on Google for Triumph motorcycles in the news, and came across this article. If you read down a ways to about the 5 paragraph or so, you come across this; "(When Preview caught up with Burbridge, he was cruising around Birmingham on his Triumph America motorcycle)".

Anyway, kind of cool to see a musician of his caliber riding the same bike we do....even if it is a slower America.

I also did a search using his name and came across his official website. There's a forum there so I posted an invite to this site. Who knows, maybe he'll show up here sometime.

That's cool. Hittin the Note is a great album and I'm a new Gov't Mule fan as well (Deja Voodoo, excellent).
Allright, Oteil is the coolest rider!

Chris,

And that's not the only time ol' Clint jumped on a Bonneville. Ever see him chase down bad guy Don Stroud in "Cogan's Bluff", while both of them are riding Bonnies through NYC's Central Park? Though I'll bet it was probably Bud Ekins again doing most of the stunt riding. That's one of my favorite motorcycle scenes in any movie.

BTW, I have a question regarding your pic of Dirty Harry here. Did the SFPD ever really use Bonnies, or it that another misnomer like Steve's/Bud's "German Triumph" in "The Great Escape"?

Anybody out there know?

Dwight

Dwight I was looking for that picture. I Had to steal this one from our old site. There is a close up picture of Clint on a Bonnie I just cant find the thing.
Now I am surprised no one said Brando. The Wild Ones was a walking Triumph comercial and the shot of Brando with the trophy tied to the Triumph is just a classic.

Derek,
You brother, shall never see me in your rear view mirror.
I do like the look of the Speedmaster, but they get a little fuzzy at upper speeds - I really should get some more stable mirrors.

Stern,
McQueen - Super Cool.
Eastwood - Very Cool.
Ann Margaret - Hot Cool.
Lauren Hutton - BMW rider with scars and a limp - Ultra
Cool - Super Hot.
Brando - poser.

Even though I've never seen him on a Triumph - Charles Bronson invented the term - COOL.

Well Chris...upon further reflection, I'd have to say George Hamilton!

WAIT A MINUTE! Your question was the COOLEST star, wasn't it?! NOT the CHEESY-EST!

Okay! Then I'll still have to give that title to Steve here!!!

Cheers,
Dwight
