hi all, hope somone might be able to help please, i have an 06 speedmaster, last year i changed exhausts and replaced the jets in the carbs to suit (also took of secondary injection, changed air filter etc) about a month ago i decided to return the bike to stock so replaced everything as it was (or so i thought) but now it wont start on choke and only just about starts without the choke but when warmed up it runs ok, any idea why this is as all jets and settings are as they were before i changed it all, many thanks, Graham

When you try to start with choke, is there a strong fuel smell?

What about pulling the chock out...say 1/3 to 1/2? Not sure if the enrichener is over or under fueling. From Lonzo's question, it appears to be overfueling. Try pulling the choke part way.

I'll bet you don't have the correct jets in it, which means that when you do get it running, it'll be running as if the choke's partially on all the time. Check your spark plugs, I'll bet they're really black & fouled up.

If everything is back to original settings, you should probably go back step by step over what you did. Could be flooded from fuel seeping past one of the needles when its sitting. A little debris, perhaps. Maybe you accidently bent one of the floats around a little when changing jets. Probably something simple.
