I am about to install the connector plug that came with my Battery Tender - this is the SAE 2 pin, or "quick connect" connector. Anyway, I seem to have read on the forum that this same connector could be used to connect a cigarette adapter style plug for powering 12v stuff. Is this true, i.e., the same connector that I use to charge up the battery can be used to power accessories? Said another way, here's the basic electrical question - how can a connector used to bring power into the battery be used to bring power out of the battery to power other stuff??? As you can guess, I am no electrician! Thanks!

Theres a slew of cables you can get here: POWERLET Its doable but depending on what your connecting you may need a m/f or reverse cable.

A wire connected to a battery will allow current to flow either direction unless something is installed in the circuit to prevent flow a certain direction.

Ya, I'm no electrician either, but that doesn't mean MY electrician doesn't love ME! More than once, instead of bringing him $25 dollars worth of work, I'd end up bringing him $400.00 worth of problems. JUST BE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR DOING!
And you may see me tonight
