Probably a custom. Bill Gately at Bonneville Performance is working on some to sell though. They are not on his site yet, but perhaps in a few months they should be ready. There is some discussion over in the Cafe Ace Forum at Delphi.

I test drove my bike after the pipes were made. It runs great. Of course I need to rejet carbs, but I am waiting on the freak to come in first. The guy who built the pipes said he could make more if others wanted. He didn't charge an arm and leg. After they are complete with the JET HOT, I will have about 350 invested in them. Hopefully I can sell my TORs on ebay or something to make some money back.

Thank, Strick - very nice. I'd like to make some shotgun style pipes. How do you go about getting custom pipes made?

I found a guy near me that makes custom choppers. I took the bike to him and of course he had to go on and on about how he loved triumphs and all that. Anyway, he loved the bike and wanted to help me do the custom work. To answer britchris's q., just take them to someone who makes exhaust/headers. I'm sendeng them to jet-hot (www.jet-hot.com) I'm goin with satin black, but they do the chrome as well. I will also get it dyno tuned after the freak comes in and post those results.

Thanks, Strick. Custom shops are thin on the ground up here. I may have to go to a car place (Mr. Muffler ...) and see if they will make headers for me.
Cheers,
Chris

If they can't and you want to, I can see if the guy who made mine will make you some using my bike as a guideline. Assuming you have the same bike??

Hey Strick,
That's a kind offer.
I have an '04 Speedy which I am trying to bob (bobberize?).
What I have in mind for the pipes is a two level set up, both pipes on the same side - what the Harley guys would call shotgun pipes, I think. The lower level would be just like stock and the upper level would be kind of like the new Scrambler, except more straight, rather than curving around the engine. I have fishtail mufflers which I think would look good in a two level set-up.
I'll do my best to find something round here, but I may be giving you a call. Btw, what did you do regards the flanges that attach the header manaifold to the jugs?
Chris
