Ya' know, I've been thinking about this since you first brought it up & have come to the conclusion that you're 100% correct. (Did I mention somewhere that I'm just learning to wrench???) The few Hinckley chops I've managed to find online had oil tanks, like this one:

...so I just assumed.

No problem though. I can either modify it for some electrics as you were saying or use it on my '71 once I start tearing that apart.
