I don't know why you'd bother. But I've been thinking about (instead of your battery bracket idea) getting a chopper-style battery box/oil bag combo to mount the battery and hide the wiring. Others have done it on our bikes but they've always been either one-offs or adapted aftermarket Harley stuff.
