Thaks for all the input guys. After more research I found that the widest tire we can put on our 2.5" rims safetly is a 130 series. A 150 would be cool, but It'd be a LOT more work than I want to put into it. I feel fine pulling the fender. I think the forks will be plenty stiff without the crossover, and I've decided to go with a 130/80.
Have any of you gone with a 130/90 rear tire on the front? I'm wondering what the disadvantages would be besides slow speed handeling. Would it still be safe deep into corners, or is a rear tire have to wide/flat of a profile?
Thanks,
Bob
yes I have run 130/90 on the front and it handle well even at slower speeds ...but remember this move will make it not handle as well as it did before ...it will be different and you will have to get use to it..
