The first 13 years out on my own, I didn't own a tv. Period. Really. A few years after VHS came out, I finally broke down and bought a tv and a player. Watched about one movie a week. A few years later, a huge deal came my way on a near new, 57 inch giant tv. I foolishly bought it as too good of a deal to pass up. I say foolishly, cause I started thinking... "as long as I have this big tv, I probably could hook it to an antennae to get a few channels. Dumbest thing I ever did. My wife (bless her) spends most hours in the evening and some in the morning watching it. And to be honest, it sucks me in for about two hours a night. Mostly Jay Leno or a PBS show. Before the "brain sucker", I did a lot of woodworking and wrenching on my antique machinery. I'd think of some way of unhooking it, and saying it is just broke, but my wife is too smart for that. I'm just glad I have this site to occupy my valuable time instead of the brain sucker.
