I definitely second what mountainman has said, particularly his recommendation of the Godin family of acoustics. I have a Seagull S6+ and for around $300 US, it is one of the best buys in my opinion. Solid top, use of beautiful woods for the top, sides and back, and a wonderful tone from this guitar. The Seagull gets constant rave reviews for it value and sound. I have other acoustics, but always enjoy playing my Seagull!
