I'm starting to order things for my America 2002. Went to order the windshield (Memphis Fat) The guy at the store tells me that There's no bracket made by memphis for the America. But in pictures in this forum I see a lot of bike with that windshield. Anybody with the FAT, what kind of bracket are you using?

This is my new project! an affordable windshield. Triumphs mount to the two bolts that hold the cable loops and down to the two holes on the Fork Brace, I believe? Most brackets for these aren't hard to make yourself with some 1" x 1/8" flat bar. I believe the triumphs are mounted to the shield by a rod not flat. I bought a shield from ebay for a kawasaki and made my own, but soon will have a bracket for triumph shields available.
If it can't be bought, I'll make it. If it can be bought i'll make it anyway!

Angelo,
Your predicament is VERY common when people who have new BAs want one of the best motorcycle windshields available out there, at least in my book...Memphis Shades.
BUT...the idjuts on Beal Street, OR maybe it's next to Graceland...OR where ever the hell their headquarters are...HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE....THAT...the brackets for the Suzuki Marauder of a few years ago(either M.S. part# MEM9907 or MEM9974 I think it is, however I advise that you measure the circumference of the upper fork shrouds and then double check with them as to their dimensions)..FIT the Triumph America.
Don't give up. Eventually you may be able to talk to someone there who may have a little understanding that this has been the case since the BAs came out.
I know about this because I have a Memphis Shade Fats(once again, a very fine product), that I bought a few years back and after making my own brackets to fit it to my bike, found out this very fact, on this site.
Good Luck, Dwight
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I made the same enquiries about 8 months ago - from memory a Suzuki Intruder bracket fits but you need to be careful about the placement of the fork brackets as they can hit the tank on full lock if they're badly placed. I'd suggest hitting the archives and doing a search there, or failing that searching the original forums. (I ended up getting a OEM Roadster screen cheap on Ebay instead - in fact I recently sold another one I got hold of for AU$300, less than half price.)
FYI the triumph brackets for the roadster screen (and the summer screen I believe) are flat steel on the bottom two, but a fairly intricatly bent rod and a flat bracket that bolts to the two cable loops for the top. From the look of it they'll fit straight onto a Nation Cycle screen if you enlarge four of the holes in the screen to about 1" diameter. Might be worth seeing if you can buy JUST the screen brackets from Triumph. See if any of the people on here with parts lists can get you a part number, as the dealer will try to sell you the entire screen.

Cat: I have a buddy looking to mount a Memphis Shades screen on his America. Can you confirm the mounting application number for the Suzuki brackets?

This kit worked for my Memphis Shades.
MEM-9907 Suzuki VZ800V Marauder 97-2002
I have the Memphis fats.
I bought it online a year ago for $91.00 from http://www.CruiserCustomizing.com
They gladly price matched another online vendor.
