A long time ago our forefathers endured a horrible war. Suffering and sacrifice all in the name of liberty and freedom. Fast forward to today. how many times have you read or heard that today marks the 68th anniversary of the most infamous day in History: Pearl Harbor Day? I thought, how lovely. Rearends that is. And how lovely the sight was for those of Hiroshima as they literally caught a fleeting glimpse of this beautiful rear end on August 6th, 1945. At least right before a little boy vaporized them. It took a Fat Man to do finish the war three days later... .. a war started by Japan on December 7th, 1941. Political correctness be dammed: God Bless America Some more photos I snapped at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. P.S.: Above photos are in a 16x9 format.

Oh , Moe !!! the only thing more beautiful than a motorcycle is...... airplanes !!! sad & grateful to say many of those designs ( including that particular B-29) played monumental roles in the struggles against Facism and the Imperial Japanese of the early past century....my Dad & Uncle were in the Pacific , Dad in the Navy and my Uncle flew B-29's.... the horror was defeated and people were freed ,,,,at the cost of much blood.....God bless the common man that is willing to stand up in difficult situations for the benefit of those of us yet born.

Thanks Moe - It is great seeing it restored. When I saw twenty years ago it was in pieces in their hangers outside of DC.

That's what I've been telling my employer. It takes a fat man to finish the job and they shouldn't ever think about furloughing me again.

Nope. But I'm back at work. Got virtually nothing to do so I don't know how long it's going to last.
