Would ya believe it? I'm gonna be a grandpa for the second time. Yeah... this time it's my daughter who'll will grace the world with a brand new bouncing baby!!

It was cute the way she 'told' me. I got a small parcel in the mail today. Inside was a sort of homemade toy stove (kitchen range) with an oven door. On top of the stove was a note saying I have a riddle to solve. Hmmmm, I discover the oven door opens and there inside behind all the crumpled paper is an object fashioned in the shape of a human. I got it right away. She has a bun in the oven!! Upon further inspection I found a note in the oven which explained the tale, and that the child is due June 11. Pretty cool news and a pretty cool way to deliver it!!

Wow... all this after she married this year and graduated from Med School. Heck... I'm worn out, let alone her!!!

Sounds like you have a great time with your daughter! Congrats, we love to have time with our granddaughter. At 2 1/2 she's just a kick, tells it like it is. Such a blessing to us.

Congratulations old man! Enjoy them every chance you get and for as long
as you have. I hope you cherish every moment for the blessing it is and
engrave into their hearts that there is a grandpa that loves them and would
give all he has or is just to see them prosper.

......and I'd wager that little baby & parents will enjoy sitting on your back deck, looking over their kingdom.

Great story, Keith. Long life and good health to your entire family! Start saving for the grandkids' motorcycles...er, hover-crafts...er, magnetic-field-based-personal-transporters...

BTW--maybe they'll have force-field protection around riders by then! Great way to keep the bugs off your goggles. 2028 will be here before ya know it!

Correction... looking over my kingdom, lol.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. I call my daughter DJ now as she is a doctor and her name is Jasmine. So, DJ sounds happy and stoked on become a Mom. She will do just great I am sure.

Keith,

Is........"Well darn-diddly-dang!" considered high profanity in Trail, BC, Canada?

I've always figured politeness, if not second nature, is encouraged by Provincial code . Heck, when we've been on tour, people are even nice to FriarJohn
