Hello all, I am an newbie here, and am about to bite on the purchase of a new 2010 Bonneville SE I think.
I want a few accesories, and the Triumph ones lack for my needs.
First and most important is I want a windhield I can bolt on that offers good wind & bug protection.
What do you all recommend?
Maybe a National cycles shield ?
And secondly if you have a tip on a good trunk, that is fairly roomy, waterproof, and removable so I can use it like luggage, that would be great to.
Please give advice, thanks. Barney

You could take a look at some of the SlipStreamer units. I have the HD-0 on my 09 Speedmaster, and it works great. Small enough to match the bike, but large enough to offer lots of protection. http://www.slipstreamer.com/Sean

This little 17" deal from National Cycle around 100 bucks does a great job keeping the wind off your chest. Increased time in the saddle and comes off the bike in a few seconds.

I've got a small Sportech screen on my America. Had to bend the speedo back a little to make it fit. They are a little pricey (~ $250) but high quality.

For the trunk, can't beat Hepco & Becker. Not cheap, but BULLET PROOF.

I bought a GIVI top box a few years agao. It seems like good quality and works very well. No guarantee but I think this is mine http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/603/69/I also looked at the Shad cases which seemed ok as well but the Givi name sold me. We were just in bermuda which is a scooter-palooza. All the locals have trunks, probably 50:50 Givi and Shad - smaller than mine but they all looked fine despite pretty heavy use. You need a rack for the trunk of course - I assume there is one for the Bonneville SE. I've had a few windscreens and settled on a memphis fats but I don't know about the fit for the SE. The best I had before that was a slipstreamer viper which mounts to the handlebars.

since you have the se i would have a look at newbonneville.com they have everything you need also look at bellacorse and fasteddy. all those should have your checkbook spinning.
If it isn't broke, I haven't messed with it.
