I know I'm a "Newbe" and this might have been posted before
While talking to Gurdy,we found out we had more in common than the Love of our Triumph Motorcycles
We were both "Musicians" (Rock)
How many more Musicians are on the site?
and what do you play?

Lots of us here pick, strum, or play a little guitar. Some of us in public and VERY well; others, (like me) more in the living room, quietly, and not so well.

Played drums and keys in bands years ago. Now only play the acoustic guitar for myself. I've been a live concert sound engineer for the last 38 years.

Play piano and took formal lessons(very seriously) for 20+ years. Made a living at it until about 6 or 7 years ago when I left my job and decided to work in the classroom.
Also play...rhythm guitar, a little bass, organ, and accordian .

I have been tinkering with the piano for a couple of years now. I'm a late starter. And I do spend the occasional evening playing with my organ....

Music? It's my life and then there's motorcycles. I like my M&Ms. But I've been playing since the age of 5... trained classically on the piano. During the hippie days I turned to guitar and harmonica plus some singing. Now I write, record, gig, sing and play a number of instruments and I'm having a blast.

Celt! You quit smoking? WAY TO GO!!!!! I quite about 10 months ago in hopes of getting my singing voice back. IT WORKED!! Keep plucking away on the ol' guitar, it's a good substitute for smoking!!

Not a musician, just an assistant, I do get to handle a lot of very nice instruments; captured by my brother's camera tuning Bob Britt's guitars before a corporate event date in Tacoma this Sept. Judging from my expression this PRS wasn't behaving well at that moment:

my buddie Dean has a PRS sweet sounding but teprimental when it comes to weather & tuning. As for me a long time playing guitar in a goofy hardcore/punk/metal in the Funtional Idiots (find us on my space) and sing in Hellride102 (also on my space) been a while since I've been on stage.

I've been playingn bass and/or singing (using the term loosely) in a Garage/Punk/hillbilly bands for over 20 years.
I've been in the Muddy River Nightmare Band for almost 10 years now.
I've never really been a great player, but someone had to book the shows, buy the van, have a practice space, and when we record they just turn me down in the mix. Ha ha.

I have tried playing "Smoke on the water" using both my Triumph Thunderbird (1997) and my Triumph SpeedMaster (2004) simultaneously. Not going well! I need somebody with a loud-pipe Rocket 3 to lay down some bass. Wont be going into a studio anytime soon.

Hi all,

I was playing drums (as professionnal) during 15 years in lot of bands here in France (Rock, Jazz, Latin Jazz).

I also was Backliner for some French artists (Khaled, Mory Kante, etc.. / you probably never heard in US ..)

Then in 2002 I gave up and founded my company (computing/programming). Now i play sometimes with guys for fun only.

I do not read/write english very well. Thank's to be patient. Triumph America/Speedmaster French community : http://www.yogourtnoway.com

Hey, Thierry, ever work with or know of a French band called Les Terribles? They sound just like they're from the mid sixties and are pretty darned good.

Love the whole Godin line of guitars... they are awesome!! Simon and Patrick, Norman, Seagull, Art & Luthier... all good bang for the buck. I have 3 of their guitars ranging from acoustic 6 and 12 strings to a beautiful Godin electric. Love 'em all.

Yup, them Squiers are good value for sure. Fender picked up the name back in the 60s but never really used it until the early 80s. Now we see the Squier name all over the place and some say they're as good as their more expensive counterparts.

That guitar sounds bigger than it is, its tone is wonderfull, i can only imagine what it will sound like after a dozen or so yrs of playing it but the fly is just an awesome guitar, like i said feather light and plays light and easy absolutely one of the finest guitars i have ever had the pleasure of plucking on.
