Hi Barney why would you even consider one of the best bikes on the market. The fact that you are thinking shows that you are 95% there. So some facts to help you along.

These bikes are Reliable with a capital R.

They handle brilliant will give a lot of plastics a run for their money.

After market parts are well catered for check out Fast Eddy, Brent and new Speedmaster to name but a few.

These bikes lend themselves to originality (look at some of the work guys on this site have carried out) from chopping to turning into bobbers.

Dont listen to the Black / Blue / Red is faster crew they all know that it was the Graphite £ Silver.

This site even adds to my pleasure by offering help and advice.

You need to gain access to the picture section. The password is Jaffa Cakes...send password to any of the moderators and they will help you out.

All the best with your future choice any questions ask away the guys in here dont bite well not unless you start political topics......

I cannot decide whether to be a good example or a horrible warning ! Peace & respect http://www.tomcc.org/gg/ Eric

Thanks Eric.

I am trying to find my way around the forums so far.

I have had many bikes, and still own a lot actually.

I plan to sell off many and buy a nice mellow and comfy bike for riding, but will keep a few of my current ones to.

I really want to put a nice windshield on it for a little wind and bug protection on the HWY, and a trunk thats waterproof and detaches easily for trips.

Leaning towards the blue/white SE model right now.

Cheers

Barney

Great bikes from a fine gentleman , Mr. Bloor who has done well for us in re-organizing a company with a historic legacy. Bonnie T-100, Thruxton , Scrambler , Speedmaster and my personel fav.....the America / Only your imagination limits what they can become and how wild or tame they will be...... Fast Eddy has some terrific accessories as does New Bonnieville and a few others found through this site......

Barney, I've ridden the Bonneville SE, and I have to say I thought it handled brilliantly. The 17inch wheels and tires make a noticable difference in this regard as compared to the regular Bonneville or the T100.

I also have to say that at first I wasn't sure about the look of the new SE, as it looks more 1970s-style Triumph in appearance with the standard cast wheels(as compared to what some might call the more "classic" 1960s look of the standard Bonnie and T100), BUT the more I see of that blue and white SE, the more I'm REALLY diggin' it! Yep, I wouldn't mind havin' one of those babies myself, ESPECIALLY as I said, after I test rode one of 'em.

If you decide to purchase one, I can almost guarantee that you will NEVER suffer from "buyer's remorse" later on!

These modern Triumphs are as smooth-running, reliable, pretty much maintenance-free, fun to ride, AND as eye-catching as any make of machine out there on the road today!

(...and probably MORE than the rest of 'em too!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Thanks Dwight, I am thining my bike herd some, and will just be keeping a few bikes.
And I think the Bonnie SE would be a nice addition for me as an errand, just going for a casual ride type bike, and will get some use for shorter trips to of say just 1 to 3 days.

Thanks for the input.......and yes, IMHO its a real beauty!

My main bike is a Rocket 3, and I have a RoadKing to use if I wanna (but don't). I had an 04 Bonnie and missed it so much I got an 09 Bonnie SE-the SE is fantastic and i ride it as much if not more than any other.
The best part is not riding on a bike that's a dime a dozen-but that would not matter if the bike was lame-and it's NOT!
Bonnie's are fantastic bikes. I love mine.

The SE is a very nice bike. While my America was in for service, I got to "test ride" an SE. It had arrow pipes which sounded very nice! As soon as I got out of the dealer parking lot, I received a "thumbs up" from someone in their car!
