Dont know whether it will affect your route chaps but the roadworks on the M80 approaching Stirling are a nightmare. About 10 miles solid, avoid if you can. Have a great trip and hope the snow clears for Friday. It was glorious last week, but thats not much help to you is it. Enjoy and I put one behind the bar for you all at Applecross, just mention my name. Cheers Chris
All the best
Chris

Hey up Bryn Call that a snow shovel that's a poopa scoopa where I come from matey Another one for ya, on e-bay I've found snow chains that'll fit the bike. One made of polished stainless steel and one of chrome, but when I go & have a look at the "feed back" on them the S/S one looks the better but the chromed item offers the better grip. What would you fit? Both have a buy now £19.99 Ride Smart Steve

Steve, sometimes you have to sacrifice size for portability, (at least, thats what I tell the ladies ) BTW, I thought snow chains were illegal in this country? Or is that just spiked tyres? Hope you all enjoy yourselves up there this weekend, and that the weather breaks for you all

A brilliant time was had by all What a weekend. http://s870.photobucket.com/albums/ab266/stevebigviking/Lochinver%20pie%20run%202010/Definitely the best upgrade were the Heat Deamon Grip Heaters fitted this winter When we got home me & Pam had completed 1155 miles, used 118.65 litres of fuel.....& the cost £145.53 worth every penny, so that's 9.735 miles per litre not bad for two up + luggage. So many thanks to Ivan, Steve, Colin and not forgetting my pillion Pam. So who's up for The Lochinver Pie Run 2011 ?????

Hi Bryn Yes bloody Volvo drivers, but to be fair we were tootling along and enjoying the scenery and the numerous red deer beside the road. The road in question is the A87 from Dornie (Eilean Donan Castle) past the Five Sisters through Glen Shiel onto the watering hole of The Cluanie Inn. Glad you liked the video, although the music works well I had planned John Fogerty singing "Up Around The Bend", but due to copyright laws I had to pick from YouTube library. You should see their library very obscure.
