And yep again...I have to say that your topic heading sure DID grab a whole lot of attention here, AND evidently over on the Thunderbird1600 forum too, didn't it?!
And, once more for the record, I personally think the T-Bird is a pretty good lookin' machine overall, even WITH the radiator, and yep, even WITHOUT those "fins" on the cylinder barrels I keep crackin' jokes about. AND I think it would make one fantastic long distance touring motorcycle with the addition of some bags and a windshield.
(and I'll betcha Bloor's Boys come out with just such a touring version of the T-Bird next year or so too...but if they don't it wouldn't surprise me, 'cuz it seems that every so often they seem to slightly miss the mark....like say when they didn't put more pronounced FINS on the T-Bird's cylinder barrels!)
