OK, so here's my 62 year old twocents. I took the RLAP last August on my '09 America, passed the course and did not drop it. What I did do, is learn some of the limits of my cycle, under controlled conditions, with competent instructors to tune up my riding style and confidence. I learned that my Triumph was capable of much more than I ever thought, and so was I. I have operated cycles for forty years, but never really ridden one till after this course. Ignorance on and of a cycle is not bliss, and will make bad things happen sooner than later.
Also have the Hough book - a gem that must be added to your library this winter and read over before every riding season, without fail. Ask Santa for it. Over and Out.
