In GB's link there were many people who had an opinion about this incident, and among 'em was this one guy(I'm assumin', though I suppose it could be a woman) who wrote the following...

Even if your the best, the best, safest, most cautious, helmet wearing, none speedin' rider in the world, you give yourself no room for error when your on one of the daygum things.
