Hi Folks. Just an update on the installation of the Egde 102's and Easy Brackets on our Speedmaster. I did get a 1/4" thick piece of plexiglass from a local glass shop.

I trimmed to size using a jigsaw that was supported and clamped in place. Plexiglass is brittle and it can easily break. Jigsaw blade speed was fairly quick to minimize chipping. I used a combination wood/plastic fine-tooth blade. I took a file to the edges of the plexiglass to bevel the edges, and then used paint thinner to finish the edge.

I used a drillpress to drill the 3/8" diameter mounting holes. Again, I made sure the plexiglass was clamped in position.

There's now plenty of clearance by the shocks even with 11 lbs of weights in the bags.

Note: these pictures show the bags UNLADEN. With 11 lbs in them, they still clear the shocks. They MIGHT touch the shocks over a bad bump, but it was quite a lot of force to get the bag to touch the shock with the weights inside.

I am now quite pleased with the end result. Hopefully this will help someone out who wants a larger saddlebag on the Speedmaster/America.
