I've got a 02 America and I'm going to put Texas sidecar on it. I've had it on Harley. I thank the America will handel it well. But one thing about sidecar is rear tire wear. Well the America has a 15 in. wheel, why not a car tire. Any suggestion on size. Rudyr

With a side car I see no reason you couldn't run a car tire. Right now I work selling tires and I think I still have a worn out stock size tire. I'll take that in to work with me and do some comparisons. Have to do it soon though since looks like I am getting a promotion to management and a different department.

A friend of mine has a Rocket 3. He got sick of buying tires so he mounted a truck tire on the rear. He's had it on for about 10,000 miles now and says it's a big improvement.

Rudy.... yes, a car tire will work on 15" & 16" moto rims.....you will also notice your front tire will also wear.... a "flat tread" will work best on the front too. The only thing I have found that gets more attention than a Triumph is a Triumph with a sidecar...

Rudy .... I never got one to fit my Trophy but a guy I met with a T-100 rig had put one of those narrow small car tires on his..... seemed to work really well for him...Someone who is a wealth of information is Doug Bingham with Side Strider .com ( he does side hacks) heck Doug IS side hacks.... very interesting man......he has forgoten more about hacks than I'll ever know ! Check out his web site , drop him a line and he can tell you size, brand etc that should work best for your application...like I say , he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to sidecars ! When you get your rig together I want to see it !!
