I second that. I have cut my wife's down for her without issue. Clearview has a procedure for measuring the correct height on their website.
It is easy to do with a jigsaw. I used lots of green masking tape on both sides to eliminate splintering, and a my orbital sander to polish up the edges, followed by a wipe on the edge ONLY with paint thinner.
If you want more detailed instructions, let me know. You can always get a glass shop to cut it down for you as well.
