I remember asking the crew, when they were in Daytona, "So how often do ya'll DROP the bikes praticing?"
He said "at first, quite often" with a big grin. He suggested practicing on a dirt bike if possible, untill skills are acquired, and suggested installing crashbars on a cruiser, unless constant repairs to scuffs & dings are in your budget, as they are in theirs. He said "Don't kid yourself, we do drop our bikes"
Food for thought.

Not sure what your point is.
They dropped the bikes because they couldn't do the maneuvers properly. I've seen a total of two bikes dropped in two classes, with nary a detectable mark. Remember we're going really slow. These were dropped by students with zero practice, and just learning the techniques. I'm not sure why they would say "quite often".
Besides, this course isn't done so you can go on tour showing you can do it, it's so you, can do it, when you need to.
