1955 makes me 54.
Someone younger with more energy is going to have to go back through all these posts and average it up.

First bike was a '39 Henderson which promptly broke my leg when I failed to retard the spark enough when starting it.
Bike is now a motorcycle/lawnmower and gets lousy mileage but cuts 8 acres of grass in about 3 hours.
Wife no. 1 convinced me to sell my '79 Bonneville in '83 and I have regretted it since.
Wife no. 2, remarked when I wanted to get a Triumph in '05 that along with the bike would come a divorce. I wanted her more than the bike. Another mistake.
In '06 she divorced me but I got my bike in '08.
Twenty five years after I sold my beloved Triumph when I was forty I got the Speedmaster I am riding now at 66.
07 Speedmstr, Long Tors, bags, sissy bar and rack, windshield, engine bars, 2 ww lights, 2 fast eddy stickers and a .45 ACP.

Glad you finally got it right, Dan! Another 57er, and it WAS a very good year. That makes me 28, again this year!

The other day I was eavesdropping on a table of very cute young ladies at the next table while at a restaurant with the wife. One of them said she was going to get a present for her grandfather's birthday. She said he was REALLY old, like 55 or something. I choked on my beer and my wife is still laughing about it. I think that girl's grandpa MUST actually be somewhat older.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Let's see. Say girl's 18, Grandpa was 37 when she was born. Grandpa could have sired her parent at 19...so maybe she's right

Born in 1956 but only 43 years old. Yes I discovered the secret. I take a flight from LA California to Australia. I leave LA the day before my birthday and I arrive in Australia two days after (crossing the dateline) so I actually miss my birthday. Please don't let the secret out...

Gonna be 55 two days after Christmas. A few years back when my son was 18 or so, he told me I was so old I dreamed in black and white. The kid's gonna be a contender. Hey, when ya' get in a friendly pissin' contest with your boy & he shoots you down in flames without you even seein' it commin', ya' gotta give the man credit.
