They do look to be wider than the early ones.

Frenchy...I have had my bags for two seasons now and have had no issues with the bag stability BUT if your vendor makes a good support please post pics. I would like to eliminate the movement as well.

The hardware provided to mount the bags is less than desireable. I used a series of large washers with rubber washers to help .... you can see here: Hard Bag install
