Help!!

I did the airbox removal and battery relocation yesterday, and made a bonehead move resulting in a broken part. This connects right before the solenoid, and as far as I can tell does not go any farther. Can anybody help me with what this would be called and what it does so that I can order a new one? Thanks

Thanks, I hate it when that kind of stuff happens. I just got a little careless. I have everything done except for the plate to bolt the battery in. It looks like there is some confusion on the correct angle for the top of the plate. What is the correct angle?

Dyno has now been done
42 pilots and 148 main jets with 2 shims on stock needle with softer more progressive springs. May as well be talking quantum physics for all that that means to me
but importantly it gives 56.23 max power and 51.85 max. torque and a loverly growl as you wind her up, well pleased.
She now looks like this.

Cheers

Looks nice Chris...you shoulda made a new thread about her. In my opinion you need to lower the rear though. Nice black and blue theme though.

Cheers Tom,
from that angle it looks like I now need some one inch lower black Progressive shocks to drop it down a touch.
Is that before or after the black ceramic drag pipes?

When does it ever end?

Cheers
Chris

I dont know man, chrome pipes really give the bike a good balance. Youre teetering on the verge of too much black right now in my opinion. no one wants to see another Harley Nightster. (do you guys have them over there really?)

It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black. - Nigel Tufnel

I dig Kid Dynamite. It's the weather difference between the east and west coast that makes hardcore and punk different from both. Cold weather makes you ****** off. Warmer weather not so much.

You may be speaking the truth Tom,
We do have the Nightster here and tho it does look cool at first I see your point.
Looks like my powdercoater might be loosing some business.

Yeah I always felt that way too. Even when an east coast band wrote a happy song it was still wasnt sunshine and sparkles. Bouncing souls for example...haha

Yeah dont tell him I said it...haha See I was never a chrome guy either cause a lot of guys overdid it. Then it seemed everyone started blacking everything out and that became the new chrome syndrome. The answer was somewhere in the middle with a good balance.

I agree too much chrome led to too much black. Something new will take hold soon enough. Saw a chopper in Aruba, that was made to look completely rusted with an intense paint job. I wasn't sure which was more confusing the paint scheme, or the chopper on an island that's like 2 miles long.

I really like some of the totally blacked out stuff as well as the chromed out stuff. My friend Fred had a Sportster that was totally chrome. Frame,tank,covers,engine,...etc... if it could be chromed it was. Was a cool looking bike for a Sporty.

Aruba is (according to Wikipedia) 21 miles long but still seems like an odd place to ride a chopper. Then again... why the heck not!!

How many bars are there on Aruba? Probably plenty to keep your typical biker wanna be with a fancy piece of ****** jewelry occupied.

Took a Harley tour there...very very dangerous. Sand on every corner, and the drivers are a million times more dangerous than the Europeans that try to navigate near Disney. However my tour guide was super cool, and even rode up along side, to verbally straighten out, a local who almost killed me. Many, Many,Many bars, but you'd be far better off on a Bonnie.
