I ride at night regularly and never had a problem more than during the day. When I was a kid we used to night ride, flat black bikes with only a headlight. That way when the cops started chasing us and we killed the headlight there was no brake light to give us away. I stopped in a field along the road more than once and watch the cop just fly by. It was fun for us and the cop knew us and used to tell us he knew it was us and he would get us next time. It was a game, we lived in farm country and the cop was a regular guy unlike most these days.

I keep wanting to try the kuryakyn light bar like this;

They only list mounting brackets for the usual suspects of metric cruisers and hd's. Anyone know what model bike would be close to our mounting points?

I have/had one of the mounts for that bar. I think I got the one for the Honda Shadow. The mount wont work but one could be fabbed up fairly easily.
If I still have it its up for grabs....shipping only AND a copy of the fabbed up mount that works in return

Ill be home late tomorrow night and I can check and see if I still have it.

The JC Whitney bar on mine was listed for a Honda Magna and the bolt holes lined up fine. Full Disclosure: the bar's mounting tab was welded slightly off center so I had to enlarge the holes to center it on the bike.

I like the Triumph bar, gives the bike a nice fat look and I used the space between the driving lights and headlight to mount turn signals.

The Dog33, your set up looks great! I was wondering where you got the turnsignals from, and how you attached them to the Triumph light bar. Thanks!

Those are cheap old school bullet turn signal lights. You can usually find them at bike shops or Ebay for about $8 with either red or amber lenses. The visors I added and the mounts I made out of stainless plate and polished. I think you can order the lights from V Twin or Drag Specialties too but not sure. I have a custom HD shop not far from me that has anything and everything you could imagine, He is still selling custom parts he bought in bulk in the 60s he also has a museum. Bills Custom Cycles in the shop and Bills Old Bike Barn is the museum.
