Jeff, there was a post a while back from a member in Australia who moved his footpeg mounting bracket forward.
If I remember correctly, he moved it almost 2" which allowed him to stretch out a little more.
The only limitation on this is that the footpeg mount will hit the head pipes if you go too far.
