Any suggestions for aftermarket seats that are good for taller riders? I'm 6-foot-3, and I find that my legs and arms most comfortable when I push myself back so that my butt is an inch or inch-and-a-half past the back of the seat. Trouble is, then I'm sitting on the crack between the seat and the pillion seat, and that gets old. I've searched for threads that address this question; if they're there, I can't find 'em. I'd welcome advice from the oh-so-wise ones here.

I only things I could suggest is either a set of highway pegs to lengthen your legs out but, not really a safe option round town so much. I'm 6'1", and have found I haven't got a problem with the corbin seat which comparted to the stock you seam to sit in and not on. Maybe see if you can find someone with one around to compare how it feels. Just a suggestion but your extra 2" would make a bigger difference, no doubt. The other is to try to find a good seat upholsterer who could redesign your current set up I guess I would have thought there were others who have been there and sorted it somehow.

When I had Richs do my seat he ultimately put me higher and further back in the new saddle.I never realized how cramped I was. The drawback was that the bars were too low so I added a set of Jims spacers. You just need an upholstery shop to add some dense foam and new seat cover and your set. Not a great pic bit you can see how much taller the seat is. This one is my bike...Richs reworked gunfighter. This is Karens bike...stock gunfighter.

Jeff, there was a post a while back from a member in Australia who moved his footpeg mounting bracket forward. If I remember correctly, he moved it almost 2" which allowed him to stretch out a little more. The only limitation on this is that the footpeg mount will hit the head pipes if you go too far.

I think that was WildMike. He re-welded his foot control bar to fit in front of the headers. Looked like he had plenty of leg room after that.

I had my stock seat recontoured. They 1) raised the front part, 2) slightly lowered the part your butt rests upon, and 3) took off material from the back of the rear of the seat. Result is that you sit "into" the seat which stops you from sliding forward in the seat and gives slightly better back support. Also moved me back around 1" which made a big difference. My next mod (after sitting on a new T-Bird), is to modify the pillion seat with additional material (in front of the pillion seat), which will come over the back of the main seat to provide an extra inch of back support. Have a look at the T-Bird Pillion seat and you will know what I mean.
