Ok,unlike many others my tubes were barely tight requiring no effort at all to get off.What do I do about the tubing that was attached to the metal tubes.It goes up into a manifold whcih then goes back to the airbox.It also has other smaller tubing attached to it.All help is appreciated.this is a 790 cc if it matters at all.Another question,the tubes were very loose,would that have been causing popping as well?

Did you buy an air injection removal kit cos all the instructions come with it. 
Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

no I didnt buy one.I got the correct hardware on hand or can make it .Never mind anyway,I found the answer on rat forum.

I suppose,I thought since it was so widely done by all you chain jockeys that a fast answer could be had.I got a handle on it now,it is quite simple.

Yep, you could always rely on dog to be there for ya when you wanted a second opinion or answers to questions about mechanical stuff. It was like having a personal mechanic on hand. I prefered it when I was working for myself too but , alas, it wasn't paying the bills anymore.
