If you said to anyone "i'm going to take my kid to watch some blokes in high heels and make-up tonight" over here, you would have social services busting down the door.

Anyhow - hope you both had a great time.

I took my daughter to her first Kiss show a few years ago at Madison Square Garden with Aerosmith. At that time, they were still trying to work it out with Frehley and Criss. They were unfortunatley terrible that night. Stanley forgot the words during three songs. I thought the first time it was a good, but after the 3rd time, it was just sad. Aerosmith was terrific, which saved the night.
I've heard Kiss is better now with the new guys.

I'd love to see a scientific analysis done to determine how many pounds/gallons of makeup the whole band has worn in their entire career.

WOW....how do old dudes play for 3 & 1/2 hours in platforms and leave you wanting more.....? Got back from Little Rock @ 2:30am ....worth the trip.....Saw Rush and they are still on top of their game but KISS , Gene and Paul with their two kids there... absolutly fantastic and I must say...better than in 1977 , which was tha last time I saw them.....it's is a 3-ring circus with pyro and with them playing 3 1/2 hours...you do get your moneys worth.....Just WOW ! Oh, and yes the son liked it too.....

They played here in Little Rock last night, and a friend of mine and his wife went to see them. I'm having lunch with hime today, so I'll hear all about it.

Last week, I attended my industry's "big show" in Orlando, and one of the vendors rented the Hard Rock Cafe' for their event. The free concert this year was a bunch of rock geezers from Santana, Journey, Toto, Lynard Skynard, Boston, Foreigner, and Steppenwolf. It was pretty pathetic (thankfully, it was an open bar to help dull the pain). The lead singer from Sanatana actually limped off stage after his set. I kept thinking to my self that these guys didn't plan very well for their retirement and that I was sacrificing a night of bad TV to watch them. At least KISS can cover their age with a bunch of make up!

Last year, it was the same vendor and the Hard Rock as well, but Jimmy Buffet showed up and gave a 2 hour show. Now, THAT was awesome!

Yep John! NOW it looks like Keith Moon juuuuuust might've done the RIGHT THING when he evidently took to heart what his old bandmate Roger famously said..."Hope I die before I get old"...DOESN'T IT???!!!

(uh huh...and here all this time we used to just shake our heads in a collective sense of loss about Keith's early demise...turns out the dude was right afterall, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
