I want a Speedmaster! I rode one at a demo this summer. Zippy. Had aftermarket pipes. But the rear brake sucked.

Not so? Was I imagining things? Ok I know most of the braking power is in front, but I still like a back brake that works well.

Does someone make aftermarket engine guards and accessories for these bike besides Triumph?

I will probably go used if I can get it. How does a 2003 with 12k miles for $4500 sound? Just one offering I've seen lately.

I have a bike and will probably keep it too vstar 1100.

Anyone got a high mileage speedmaster that is still running strong with few issues over the years.

I have more Q but I'll leave it there.

Thanks

bob

Check the Classifieds here, and Graiglists and Ebay.

Hi bob welcome to the site lots of info here . at the home page click on "links" this will give you some places to look. but alot of us use the two following places
http://www.fasteddysports.com

http://www.newspeedmaster.com/

I have used both and at moment waiting for some stuff from eddy to come over as I live over the pond. The bikes have been around a few years now so second hand accessories do come up a fair bit. But you can interchange speedy and america parts so look out for both.hope you find a bargain out there. atb geoff

I've never had any brake issues...front or back. I have replaced the pads one time in the back, front still has the originals.

Been doin it everyday

I don't want to pay for shipping. I was thinking I might buy one in n. Calif somewhere and ride it down to s. calif. to store there and ride there until the weather warms up where I am.

thanks

My bottom line is 4k for a used speedy. That said I either have to buy on locally or fly South and ride one to a warmer clime until the summer.

Thanks anyway. Why are you selling?

Re: the brakes

must have been the bike. It was a triumph demo bike from the triumph truck that traveled around the country.
I don't think it was me.

Bob, if you can make it down south to Cascade Moto Classics (in Beaverton, OR) they have two Speedys and an America on consignment right now in the price range you are looking at.
