I'm making baffles for my 100% cleaned out Speed Master stock pipes.

I've installed a set of 2 1/8" Samson baffles and it softened up the decel a bit, but not the accel. The deceleration has a little "ffft" sound per pulse that is not present without'em.

Next:I stuffed some rags between the muffler and the baffle just around the exit to force the gasses to exit the inside of the baffle. It's a little quieter and the pulses are more defined but not much from 100% empty .(catylitic converter still intact)

Question I have is: What diamter is your exhaust gas exit-ing? Are ya using any packing material?

I'm thinking of a 1 1/2" baffle,,,

Looking for 1/3rd less sound than full gut exhaust(which is 2/3rds louder than stock,,,bla bla bla,,,you know).

I used 1 3/4" I.D., with packing. I absolutely LOVE the sound!



The homemade are in the middel, with the stock ones outside.
Did I mention how much I love the sound? (I even had to see my doctor! That four hour thing you know)
