Two weeks ago we had an record breaking early season cold snap, dropping to single digits fahrenheit, who knows what in celsius .

The broadleaf trees (cottonwood, maple, aspen etc) hadn't yet started to "turn". The upshot is we have gone sraight from green to dead brown. No brilliant yellows and reds. It's a colourless landscape for us this year. The question now is "Will these leaves fall normally, or hang around and slowly drop like dead flies throughout the pending winter?"
