Well, it was a work trip. I had to do an inspection and than get home by dark. There's too many dead deer on those road for me this time fo the year. Oddly, no bikes when I went by Jean Benet on this trip.
I did remember to get gas this time before leaving Somerset. I did this same trip in August and darn near ran out of gas on the way home. I was probably 15 miles into reserve before hitting that gas station right near Jean Benet. In fact, I gassed up at the same station and owner where I asked directions to Rt 31 in August and the guy remembered me.
I'd love to take a casual ride up there one of these days, it's really a lovely place.

You were probably 10-15 miles from Snert, maybe 60 miles from me, and within 20-70 miles of several other Triumph riders on this site. You should have stopped in the Jean Benet tavern, they have good food and a lot of history. It is right at the apex where 31 meets Rt30.
That's one of our "out 'n' backs" - 30 to 31 or 31 to 30 and back. Lots of nice riding in that area.....
